Tell us about you and your book. A person reads every application.
02Upload
Add your PDF, cover, price and description. We check it, then it goes live.
03Get paid
Each sale lands in your balance. After 7 days, withdraw to telebirr or CBE.

7-day hold
Each sale becomes available to withdraw 7 days after it is made. That leaves time for refunds.
500 ETB minimum
Request a withdrawal whenever your available balance is 500 ETB or more.
Weekly, to telebirr or CBE
We send payouts once a week to the account in your shop settings, with a reference you can check.

Who can sell on Ethio Books?
Any author or publisher who holds the rights to the book. We review each application by hand before you can publish.
What can I sell?
Books as PDF files: novels, poetry, guides, textbooks and more, as long as you own the rights. Free books are welcome too.
Who sets the price?
You do. You can change it, run a sale or create coupons for your readers at any time.
Do I keep the rights to my book?
Yes. You give us permission to sell and deliver your book, and nothing more. You can unpublish it whenever you want; readers who bought it keep their copy.
What does it cost to sell?
Nothing to join and no monthly plan. We keep a 10% commission on each sale, and you keep the rest. Readers pay by telebirr or bank transfer, so there is no payment fee.
When do authors get paid?
Earnings become available 7 days after each sale. Once your available balance reaches 500 ETB you can request a withdrawal, and we pay out weekly to your telebirr or CBE account.
What stops people from sharing a book?
Every downloaded copy is stamped with the buyer's name and email, so a leaked copy can be traced back. We take pirated copies down when they are reported. No protection is perfect, but this makes sharing personal.
